Resources applied:

2 mm anti-slip strips mounted with polyurethane adhesive

Scope of work:

Delivery of materials and installation

Industry:

Public use area

Date of completion:

April 2013

Summary:

Two modern underground tram stops were built in Poznań. The tiles used there turned out to be too slippery and even dangerous to use without additional anti-slip protection. Before starting the project, we presented a detailed design and visualisation of the proposed solution. We proposed installing 2mm thick anti-slip strips, which solved the "slippery" problem for hundreds of people using the stops. Additionally, in order to facilitate traffic on the stairs, the first and last steps were marked with a contrasting yellow colour, which greatly facilitated the movement of visually impaired people.
