TWS ladders and safety cages
polyester-glass profiles made by pultrusion
Glass fibre reinforced polyester resin (TWS) fixed ladders are suitable for use in industrial and commercial spaces. They provide compliance with standards such as BS 4211:2005, and BS EN ISO 14122-4:2004, making them an affordable and maintenance-free alternative to timber or metal structures.
TWS is perfectly suited to an interior, exterior and aggressive environments where industrial chemicals or acid/salt air may quickly corrode metal systems. The service life of components made from composite materials can reach over 40 years.
Fixed composite ladders are available in the following versions:
1. Internal ladders, e.g. access to underground inspection ducts
Compliant with BS 4211:2005, including:
2. External ladders, e.g. access to above-ground structures
Compliant with BS EN ISO 14122-4:2004, they consist of a combination of the following components:
Available in high-visibility yellow or steel grey. The components are characterised by low weight, high strength as well as corrosion resistance, non-conductivity and non-flammability. In addition, they are almost completely maintenance-free.
All solid-colour construction and optional polyurethane protective coating create a durable and professional-looking product, competitively priced compared to stainless steel or galvanised steel equivalents.
Ladders ensure the safety of workers in working environments, e.g. in factories, power plants, water treatment plants, petrochemical plants, as well as in maritime applications, railway applications, machinery protection, etc.
The relatively low weight of the product makes transport, handling and assembly considerably cheaper than for metal products.
The components can be fully or partially assembled before dispatch and are therefore suitable for immediate assembly.
